Dry Skin- Self Care During Quarantine-

2020 came in with a bang and has introduced us to situations that have been hard to grasp and deal with. To keep things positive though, it has been giving us all much needed time to do the things we don’t normally have time for. The number 1 thing being self care, specifically for dry skin.

Coming out of winter, I’ve been dealing with extreme skin dryness and my scalp has been suffering the most with it. It has become border line impossible to deal with. After a decent amount of research, I’ve learned a few tricks to cope with this condition. I’m going to share with you 2 recipes to combat extreme dry skin that will do wonders and will have you thanking your lucky stars. I’ve been doing this for about a month now and it really has helped so much.

First is a coffee and coconut oil scrub that is administered during your daily showers. Second is the Oil and Vinegar scalp treatment. Both super easy to make and both works better than any drug store bought treatments. See below for instructions.

Coffee and Coconut Oil Scrub

What you’ll need: Used coffee grounds and coconut oil.

Mix both together and apply all over body during a warm shower. Scrub well and rinse.

Oil and Vinegar Scalp Treatment

What you’ll need: Coconut Oil, Castor Oil and Apple Cider Vinegar

Mix 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of caster oil and 1 1/2 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Add to hair and scalp and leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse well and shampoo with a no sodium formula. Repeat once a week. (If you have very oily hair then repeat once every other week)

It’s as easy as that my friends and it’s a fantastic way get rid of the dryness. Enjoy!!
