Top 5 Spring Trends

Last weekend I attended the Spring Trends Fashion Show at Bloomingdale’s located in White Plains, NY. I met some great people, got to try a few bites from local vendors and saw some great fashion inspiration.

Although the fashion show did not display any plus size fashion, I was able to get a few great ideas that work for all body types.

Here are 5 of my favorite pieces.

1. The Two-Tone Jean: The denim trends are on point this season. I particularly loved a pair of two tone denim jeans I saw Simone from simplybysimone.com wearing at the show. It was definitely one of my favorite pieces.

2. The Romper: Now, I don’t love rompers. It was never my thing. Possibly because of my shape, but I just never found them to be very flattering. However, I saw the models wearing a black jean one and a wide leg one that I really enjoyed and after trying them on, I was shocked that I actually liked how they looked. They definitely stepped up the romper game.

3. The Striped Tie Front Top: These were everywhere. On the runway and all over the store. It was tough to pick just one. They are so cute and versatile. You can wear them casually or dress them right up.

4. Cold Shoulder Crop Top: I think this trend is the cutest. Specifically for those warm nights where all you want is to walk around wearing as little as possible. Picture this top with a cute denim jean skirt, oh my.

5. The Crochet Handbag: I saw a few great ones, but I fell in love with the Macrame Crochet Shoulder Bag. Mostly because it has my favorite color army green but also because it’s such a cute handbag that you can wear with so many things. I can’t wait to pair this with my new spring items. It’s just perfect!
